2012 Pinot Noir Reserve Cuvee
Unusually dark in color for an Oregon pinot noir, the aroma matches the hue with dark pie-cherry notes over hints of baking spice, herbs and wood. Richness and depth characterize the flavors, a classic expression of pinot noir in a more Burgundian style. An almost ideal balance of fruit, acid and tannins on the palate make this a lovely wine to drink now, or to mature over the next 5-7 years. SavorNW Wine Awards honored the Reserve with a double gold medal for 2015.
The acid/tannin balance comes to life when paired with a rich Tuscan cheese or pâté, or with cedar-planked salmon.
A blend of 50% Zenith Vineyard, 25% Estate vineyard and 25% Bjornson Vineyard. 150 cases.
